Despite this, we found CXCL7 level was significantly upregulated in human TAMs in breast cancer by using publicly available dataset of RNA-seq from purified human circulating monocytes and TAMs in breast cancers (Fig. 5B), confirming our suspicion that the levels of macrophage-derived CXCL7 could easily be underestimated in tumor samples. This evidence concerns the gene PPBP and breast cancer.
