Higher PLEKHG2 mRNA expression was consistently associated with worse patient outcome across four large transcriptomic datasets (Figure 2E), representing a diverse range of cancer types and mostly primary tumors such as TCGA pan-cancer (Chen et al., 2018), lung adenocarcinoma (Chen et al., 2017b), pediatric brain tumors (Zhang et al., 2021b), and breast cancer (Pereira et al., 2016). The gene discussed is PLEKHG2; the disease is lung adenocarcinoma.
