Despite the decrease in BuChE activity at the end of the acute phase (60 days after T. cruzi infection) and at the beginning of the chronic phase (90 days after T. cruzi infection) in the INF and GAL/INF groups, probably due to the reduction in parasitemia, there was also a tendency toward a reduction in BuChE activity over the experimental period in the control groups. The gene discussed is CBLIF; the disease is parasitic infectious disease.
