Common variants in or near the genes encoding RUNX family transcription factor 3 (RUNX3), TNF superfamily member 4 (TNFSF4), D-2-hydroxyglutarate dehydrogenase (D2HGDH), DEAD-box helicase 6 (DDX6)/C-X-C motif chemokine receptor 5 (CXCR5), TNF receptor associated factor 3 (TRAF3), and mitogen-activated protein kinase kinase kinase 14 (MAP3K14)/Rho GTPase activating protein 27 (ARHGAP27) were previously associated in UKBB with a broad “dermatitis or eczema” phenotype18,19. The gene discussed is MAPK14; the disease is dermatitis.
