CRP and COVID-19: Finally, some inflammatory (procalcitonin, C-reactive protein), hematologic (lymphocyte, thrombocytes) and biochemical (creatine kinase-MB, troponin I, D-dimer, aspartate aminotransferase, alanine aminotransferase, lactate dehydrogenase and Γ-glutamyltransferase) biomarkers have been associated with severe COVID-19 and might help in the prognostic risk stratification of patients with COVID-19 [11].
