LEP and Obesity: Leptin administration to females slowed down the developmentof diet-induced obesity in the male offspring, whichagrees with earlier studies, where leptin administration tofemale rats from day 14 of pregnancy till the end of lactation(Stocker et al., 2007) and to mice at the end of pregnancy (Makarovaet al., 2013) prevented diet-induced obesity in the maleoffspring fed on obesogenic diet.
