The results of our subgroup analyses indicating that time to PSA progression was significantly longer in men with index date PSA < median (6.3 ng/mL) are consistent with findings from an analysis of the SPARTAN study in which PSA > median (5.5 ng/dL) was found to be a significant predictor of metastatic disease [17]. The gene discussed is KLK3; the disease is metastatic neoplasm.
