AGT and Alzheimer disease: It was revealed that secreted phospholipase A2 group V from endothelial cells in the angiotensin II-treated aorta of mice could mobilize linoleate and oleate, which could ameliorate endoplasmic reticulum stress, and enhance the expression of lysyl oxidase, thus stabilizing the extracellular matrix, and that dietary linoleate or oleate supplementation abolished the susceptibility to AD in secreted phospholipase A2 group V-deficient mice (8).
