BATF2 has been reported as a tumor suppressor gene in various malignant tumors, such as lung cancer, prostate cancer, colorectal carcinoma, hepatocellular carcinoma, and nasopharyngeal carcinoma, etc (Dash et al., 2010; Huang et al., 2011; Liu et al., 2011; Ma et al., 2011; Wang et al., 2012; Chen et al., 2015; Guler et al., 2015). This evidence concerns the gene BATF2 and prostate cancer.
