Methylated HIC1 and SOX1 exhibited a similar trend to identify ovarian cancer at various stages of disease (70.0% (14/20) of stage I/II, 85.2% (46/54) and 83.3% (45/54) of stage III, respectively, and 72.7% (8/11) of stage IV ovarian cancers). This evidence concerns the gene SOX1 and ovarian cancer.
