In summary, we have reviewed our experience with Coats' disease complicated with retinal cysts, and our results showed that 18.70% (23/123) of the Coats' patients may present with complications of retinal cyst, and retinal cysts were mostly located in the inferior-temporal quadrant and in the peripheral retina; patients with retinal cyst had more clock-hours of telangiectasia on FA, and may need more treatments including laser photocoagulation or intravitreal anti-VEGF, also longer time for telangiectasia resolution. This evidence concerns the gene VEGFA and Coats disease.
