The results produced by the Deeplex Myc-TB assay performed on DNA extracts obtained by GeneLEAD (for clinical samples) or by heat shock (for strains) were interpreted as follows: a “successful” identification was defined as an unambiguous hsp65-based species identification with minimum reference coverage of 50% and minimum average coverage depth of 35×. The gene discussed is HSPD1; the disease is tuberculosis.
