It is noteworthy to mention that the matricellular protein connective tissue growth factor (CCN2) a TGFβ target, previously detected by transcriptomic analysis, albeit in low levels, in the gingival tissue from one ERS patient (12) has not been identified in any one of the 4 ERS secretomes analyzed here. This evidence concerns the gene CCN2 and amelogenesis imperfecta type 1G.
