A collaborative study from the ARTIS and DANBIO registers showed that treatment with TNF-α inhibitors in patients (n = 8703) with SpA was not associated with increased risks of cancer, neither overall nor for the most cancer types, such as prostate cancer, lung cancer, colorectal cancer, lymphoma, breast cancer, and malignant melanoma (Hellgren et al., 2017). Here, TNF is linked to prostate carcinoma.
