A recent publication showed that in 27 paired ESCC tissues and adjoining normal esophageal tissues, TUG1 was conspicuously upregulated in cancer samples (p < 0.0001), and high TUG1 expression was correlated with tumor size (p = 0.032), TNM stage (p < 0.001), and lymph node status (p < 0.001) [241]. This evidence concerns the gene TUG1 and cancer.
