Among those, miR-16-5p, miR-20a-5p, miR-29b-3p, miR-29c-3p, miR-99a-5p and miR-195-5p were negatively correlated with β2M levels, a serum marker of tumor burden in hematologic malignancies [27,28], while miR-29a-3p was the only extracellular miRNA that negatively correlated with serum albumin (Table 3), a protein with prognostic value in MM patients [29,30].
