Throughout this paper, silibinin is used to stand for the commercially available mixture of silybin A and silybin B. In addition to having appreciable potential in treating prostate cancer on the ground of its in vitro and in vivo experimental data [11,12,13], silibinin (1) acts as an anti-prostate cancer agent with mechanisms of action that are associated with the AR-signaling axis as summarized in our review article [14]. Here, AR is linked to prostate carcinoma.
