In one study, radiofrequency irradiation improved rosacea induced by ultraviolet B in an animal model by reducing keratinocyte proliferation; it also improved the levels of pro-inflammatory cytokines, angiogenesis-related inflammatory factors, and VEGF, and attenuated the VEGF-induced pathophysiology of rosacea, reducing tube formation, cell migration, and endothelial cell proliferation [105]. The gene discussed is VEGFA; the disease is rosacea.
