CD8A and COVID-19: In their work, Lupariello et al. [4] relied on immunohistochemistry in order to characterize the lymphocytic immune infiltrate in the lungs of two patients with COVID-19, revealing the presence of a diffuse perivascular recruitment of T lymphocytes (CD3+) and focal infiltrations of CD8+ T lymphocytes and NK (TIA1+) in vessels and perivascular spaces, but not B lymphocytes infiltrates.
