The results indicated that 6e was able to cause cell cycle arrest at G1/S phase in ovarian cancer cells (A2780), S phase in colon cancer (HT-29), and breast cancer (MCF-7) cells, together with G2/M in liver cancer cells (HepG2), and displayed good apoptotic activity as evidenced by Annexin V-FITC apoptosis assay. This evidence concerns the gene ANXA5 and breast cancer.
