Interestingly, we found a significant down-regulation of DUSP9 in HCC-derived Huh7 cells transfected with miR-4510, a primate-specific miRNA which inactivates Wnt/β-catenin and RAS/RAF/MEK/ERK signals by targeting RAF proto-oncogene serine/threonine-protein kinase RAF1 and glypican-3 [10,52]. The gene discussed is DUSP9; the disease is hepatocellular carcinoma.
