While RIPK4 down-regulation was observed during the development of neoplasms of liver [8], tongue [9], and lung [10], high RIPK4 levels are correlated with progression and poor prognosis in cervical squamous cell carcinoma [11], lymph node metastasis of cervical cancer [12], and increased invasiveness of pancreatic cancer [13]. This evidence concerns the gene RIPK4 and familial pancreatic carcinoma.
