More and more evidences show that metabolism-related genes (HK2, FBP1, and PKM2) are very important for the occurrence and the development of HCC, and these genes promote the growth of HCCs by promoting the transcription of oncogenes (Chen et al., 2017; DeWaal et al., 2018; Li Q. et al., 2019; Hou et al., 2020). This evidence concerns the gene PKM and hepatocellular carcinoma.
