Expression level of immune-checkpoint-relevant transcripts CD274 (PD-L1), CTLA-4, HAVCR2 (TIM3), LAG3, PDCD1 (PD-1), and TIGIT (VSIG9) were significantly higher in H2AFZhigh HCC patients, indicating that the H2AFZhigh HCC patients may be sensitive to immune checkpoint blockades (ICBs). This evidence concerns the gene CTLA4 and hepatocellular carcinoma.
