GBP1 upregulation is reported to be associated with decreased disease progression and better overall survival in patients with breast and colorectal cancer (Naschberger et al., 2008; Lipnik et al., 2010), while it is connected with increased disease progression, metastasis, and treatment resistance in ovarian cancer and glioblastoma (Duan et al., 2006; De Donato et al., 2012; Ji et al., 2019). This evidence concerns the gene GBP1 and ovarian cancer.
