CAMK2A and ganglioglioma: An independent signaling node in HGG was the Calcium/calmodulin dependent protein kinase II alpha (CAMK2A) also shown to be the most abundant protein in gangliogliomas; but in HGG a higher correlation between kinase activity and protein abundance was evident [89], highlighting the importance of simultaneous analysis of the transcriptome/proteome and the phosphoproteome.
