To study the effect of a malaria episode on FcRL5 expression in various B cell subsets and the clonal connections within and between these subsets, two 5-year old children who were included in the Program for Resistance, Immunology, Surveillance and Modeling of Malaria (PRISM) cohort study in the high-transmission region of Tororo, Uganda (cohort IDs: 3289 and 3421) were selected [30].
