Recently, it was reported that abundant exosomes selectively loaded with miR-155 are presented in circulation from sepsis-related acute lung injury (ALI) mice.555 Injection of exosomes harvested from ALI mice significantly increased the number of M1 macrophages in the lung and led to the inflammation in healthy mice through activating the NF-κB signaling pathway and the downstream upregulation of TNF-α and IL-6.
