A3AR is overexpressed in cancer and it is considered a tumor diagnostic/prognostic marker, as previous studies have demonstrated its overexpression in different malignant tumors including melanoma, breast, prostate, liver, pancreatic and lung cancers, as well as lymphoma, glioblastoma and malignant pleural mesothelioma (MPM) [3, 29, 46, 47]. This evidence concerns the gene ADORA3 and lung carcinoma.
