In subgroup analyses by PD-L1 expression level, when compared with beva +chemo, ICI+chemo led to a significantly longer PFS for patients with PD-L1 tumor proportion score (TPS) of ≥50% (HRICI+chemo/beva+chemo 0.51, 95% CI 0.37 to 0.70; p<0.01) but not for patients with PD-L1 TPS of 1%–49% (HRICI+chemo/beva+chemo 0.81, 95% CI 0.60 to 1.10; p=0.17), or PD-L1 TPS of <1% (HRICI+chemo/beva+chemo 0.92, 95% CI 0.69 to 1.23; p=0.56) (figure 1F).
