CRP and lymphopenia: Based on laboratory results, three other parameters also showed a statistically significant difference between both group: the appearance of lymphopenia (null vs. 26.3%, RR = 0.03; p = 0.012), the persistence of high levels of CRP (36.0% vs. 76.2%, RR = 0.47; p = 0.011), and of the D-dimer (47.1% vs. 92.3%, RR = 0.51; p = 0.010).
