The study identified differences in the levels of HP (acute phase protein), TTR (negative acute phase protein), orosomucoid 1/α1 acid glycoprotein (ORM1, acute phase protein), α1 antitrypsin (A1AT, complement and coagulation pathways), serum amyloid A (SAA), and S100A9 (regulation of inflammatory processes and immune response) between survivors and non-survivors, especially in the early stages of sepsis. This evidence concerns the gene ORM1 and Sepsis.
