In U-251 glioblastoma cells, the pro-survival and pro-migration effects of RMST have been attributed to its direct interaction with fused in sarcoma (FUS) a DNA/RNA binding protein that is involved in mRNA transcription, maturation, and transport that promotes cell migration and proliferation (Wang et al., 2016; Liu et al., 2020). This evidence concerns the gene FUS and glioblastoma.
