Given that higher expression of NOX4 and FOXM1 predicted a worse prognosis in glioma, and based on reports that NOX4 promotes cell glycolysis in a variety of human malignancies, including glioblastoma [20], we explored the impact of NOX4 and FOXM1 on aerobic glycolysis in glioblastoma cells.
