Adjuvant treatment recommendations for early-stage non–small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) have traditionally been independent of oncogenic drivers.1 ADAURA2 was a landmark study that demonstrated that 3 years of adjuvant osimertinib significantly reduced the risk of disease recurrence and death for stage IB to IIIA resected epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR)–positive NSCLC. This evidence concerns the gene EGFR and non-small cell lung carcinoma.
