Further functional studies reveal that CDCA7 may exert its oncogenic roles via directly binding to the position of 484–495, 641–654, 670–679, and 711–722 bp from the transcription start site of CCNA2. The data of TCGA and GSE53625 further confirmed the positive correlation between CDCA7 and CCNA2 in ESCC, indicating that the high expression level of CDCA7 may be an important driving event in the occurrence and development in ESCC. This evidence concerns the gene CDCA7 and esophageal squamous cell carcinoma.
