This condition reflects our finding (Figure 2(a)), where the IFN cytokines (IFN-α2 and IFN-γ) and antivirus-associated IL-12, MCP-1, and RANTES in the acute febrile phase of dengue patients were higher than those in healthy controls, as they play a role in defending against DENV infection.
