As our aforementioned bioinformatic analysis indicated that T cells and macrophages were the most prevalent cells among the infiltrated immune cells positively correlated with PLA2G2D expression, and previous studies have shown that the number and percentage of T cells and macrophages were more than the other kind of immune cells in cervical cancer (28, 29), we chose these two cells along with tumor cells to determine the percentage and density of individual immune cell populations in each slide. This evidence concerns the gene PLA2G2D and cervical carcinoma.
