Interestingly, corin transcript levels in the right and left ventricular tissues were significantly elevated in decompensated HF (2.12 ± 0.36 and 2.89 ± 0.29, respectively) compared with sham controls (1.0 ± 0.04; P < 0.05 and 1.0 ± 0.06; P < 0.001, respectively) and compensated subgroup (1.38 ± 0.29; P = NS, and 1.1 ± 0.13; P < 0.0001, respectively) (Figures 3Q,S). This evidence concerns the gene CORIN and hydrops fetalis.
