To test the clinical relevance of the PAF1 complex to RNA Pol II transcriptional recycling in the context of cancer, immunohistochemistry (IHC) was first performed on tissue microarrays to detect PAF1 in normal prostate (n = 32), histologically normal tissue adjacent to a tumor (NAT, n = 16) or tumor tissue (n = 322).
