Additional comparison of COVID-19 patients with different insulin sensitivity and control group demonstrated that both patients with HOMA-IR ≤ 3 or > 3 had significantly lower chemerin levels in comparison to control group (264.9 [237.2–315.3] vs. 373.0 [363.1–392.3] ng/ml; p < 0.001 and 257.8 [234.4–326.9] vs. 373.0 [363.1–392.3] ng/ml; p = 0.004, respectively). This evidence concerns the gene INS and COVID-19.
