We earlier reported that DS fibroblasts exhibit a perturbation of lysosomal activities driven by APP-βCTF-dependent compromised luminal acidification [41]; interestingly, in these cells, among the “lysosomal biogenesis” genes, most of them (18) were not changed, while 7 were upregulated and 1 downregulated, CLCN7, which was found to be upregulated under starvation (Supplementary Table 2). This evidence concerns the gene CLCN7 and Dravet syndrome.
