CBLB and cancer: Following the engagement of NK cell inhibitory receptors, cancer cell killing is suppressed by two main mechanisms: (i) dephosphorylation of signaling molecules by the protein tyrosine phosphatase (PTP), SHP‐1, and (ii) ubiquitylation‐mediated degradation of signaling molecules by the E3 ubiquitin ligases, Cbl‐b and c‐Cbl (Matalon et al, 2016).
