In obesity, adipocytes produced several chemokines (Cxcl2, Cxcl12, Ccl2, etc.)recruiting macrophage and neutrophils, causing systemic inflammation, insulin resistance, and the dysfunction of local endothelial cells (Gouranton et al., 2011; Rouault et al., 2013; Kim et al., 2014). This evidence concerns the gene CXCL2 and obesity due to melanocortin 4 receptor deficiency.
