In the HNSCC, Wang et al., found that CDK5RAP3 protein levels are significantly reduced in more than 30% of primary human HNSCC which is negatively correlated with expression of NF-κB target genes, including interleukin-8 (IL-8) and IκBα, and its depletion induces primary cell transformation (5). This evidence concerns the gene CDK5RAP3 and head and neck squamous cell carcinoma.
