In this study, since miR-4512 was only expressed in human, and their target site in the 3’UTR of TLR4 and CXCL2 was not conserved in human and mouse, it would be difficult to directly testify the function of miR-4512 in the pathogenesis of SLE. The gene discussed is CXCL2; the disease is systemic lupus erythematosus.
