The 27 genes with a score ≥ 2 were defined as “biological AD risk genes.” As shown in Table 1, the top five biological AD risk genes include interleukin 7 receptor (IL7R), interleukin 6 receptor (IL6R), interleukin 18 receptor 1 (IL18R1), interleukin 2 receptor subunit alpha (IL2RA), and signal transducer and activator of transcription 3 (STAT3). This evidence concerns the gene STAT3 and Alzheimer disease.
