CD40LG and Guillain-Barre syndrome: Antibodies against DRG neurons appeared significantly more frequently in GBS patients than in controls (32% vs 6.7%, p < 0.0001) taking all positive tests in account; the same happened if only moderate and strong positives were considered, both in IgG (6% vs 0%, p = 0.03) and IgM experiments (11% vs 2.2%, p = 0.02).
