Antibodies against nodal and paranodal proteins (neurofascin 140/186 [15] -NF140/186-, neurofascin 155 [16, 17] -NF155-, contactin-associated protein 1 [18, 19] -CASPR1-, and contactin 1 [19] -CNTN1-) have also been described in patients diagnosed of GBS. Here, CNTN1 is linked to Guillain-Barre syndrome.
