Whereas, WBC count> 100,000/μL, unfavorable cytogenetic risk, complex karyotype, monosomy and TP53 mutation were significantly associated with shorter OS in patients with AML according to the univariate analysis but the multivariate analysis indicated that poorer OS was found only in AML patients with WBC count> 100,000/μL (P = 0.004, HR = 1.32–4.16) and complex karyotype (P = 0.038, HR = 1.07–9.78). Here, TP53 is linked to acute myeloid leukemia.
