FET fusions (encompassing both EWSR1 and FUS) with genes from the CREB (cAMP response element) family (CREB1, CREM and ATF1) are involved in a wide variety of tumors of various locations and prognoses (angiomatoid fibrous histiocytomas, clear cell sarcomas of the soft tissue –CCS-, gastrointestinal neuroectodermal tumors, and primary pulmonary myxoid sarcomas). The gene discussed is CREB1; the disease is clear cell sarcoma.
